Pat Singleton, executive director of the food bank, said in a press release: \"We are very grateful for donating backpacks and school supplies for the bookworm backpack project . \".
Donations were collected at Staples and the Cambridge surplus store.
Some businesses and community members have contributed to the project.
The remaining materials collected from this year\'s campaign will be stored and used next year.
